activity 1: reading module

1. Imperative
Imperative sentence is a sentence that is used to make command, request, or instruction.
Imperative sentences generally end with an exclamation but can also be ends by a period. In the usual imperative sentence procedural texts used is what functions as an instruction (instruction) and command (command). There is also a negative imperative that serves to show that we not allowed to do anything. Take a look at some examples imperative sentence below.
∴ Add a glass of coconut milk into a pan and then boil it.
∴ Do not spray water on the control panel of the washing machine.
∴ Remove the toner cartridge carefully.
∴ Serve it warmly in the rice bowl
2. Must and Mustn't
Must is used to express that we have to do something important
∴ e.g. : You must press the on button to start the machine.
Mustn't is used to express that we are forbidden to do something.
∴ e.g. You musn't refill the ink before it runs out.
3. Sentence Connectors for Telling Actions in Order.
Connectors are used to join groups of words, both phrases and sentence. You can use these connectors to link paragraphs to be coherent. Sentence connectors are usually written at the beginning of a sentence. Try to read and study the example paragraph below carefully.

The underlined words above are sentence connectors that is used to show the sequence of an instruction or how take action.
4. Adverbs
Adverb is a word that describes a verb, adjective or adverb other. An adverb usually consists of an adjective + ly such as 
∴ slowly, suddenly, strongly.

requirement: - list of what is needed

steps: - in order of what needs to be done - include diagrams or picture if needed
steps usually start with an action verb

How To Use a Hand Mixer
steps:
1. Slot the whisk into the body of the device carefully. 
2. Plug the mixer using your cable to the socket. 
3. Place the whisks in the batter before starting.
4. Turn the Speed up Slowly. Make sure you’re comfortable with the speed you use before you go any higher.
5. When you are done mixing, make sure to turn the speed down slowly before you unplug the mixer.
6. Unplug the mixer by pulling the cable off from the socket.

How To Make a Flower Brooch
material:
- fabric
- needle and thread
- scissor 
- brooch back
steps:
1. First draw a 6,5 cm card circle as a template. Draw around it five times on your five different fabric pieces and neatly cut them out.
2. Take one of the circles and fold it neatly into quarters. then sew the quarter circle to form a flower petal. Repeat with the rest of your circles. Now you have five quarters of the petals.
3. Gather the raw edges of the first petal. Continue until all your petals are gathered onto the thread, then join the first petal to the last to make a complete circle.
4. From the front, stuff the hole with a beads
5. Turn the flower over, and sew a pin or brooch back.
